Join me in congratulating our own Ms Grace Nakajje for rising against all odds to win an unprecedented award. Ms. Nakajje MPH (Weekend II) won the prestigious International Women Achievers' Award (IWAA) in the category of Humanitarian Ambassador Award.

The Award was handed to her the night of March 5, 2016 at Jamaican Canadian Association, 995 Arrow Road, Toronto, Canada. The International Women Achievers' Award was established in 2009 to acknowledge and honour the accomplishments and contributions of women in world-wide community development.

It also recognizes the paramount roles played by women in society alongside appreciating their attitudes, initiatives, willpower and perseverance.

Ms. Nakajje attributed her innovation and the work she is doing for women in her community to the skills and competence based training at IHSU. This to me is a positive feedback on the work that all of us are doing at IHSU. I look forward to hearing and witnessing more innovations that benefit our communities but also yield recognizable awards in the near future
